The 2017 season was another thrilling year for the SuperContest.  We had a record turnout of 2748 entries for the SuperContest and 94 entries for the inaugural season of the SuperContest Gold.   Granny’s Boy won the SuperContest with 62 points receiving a record prize of $1,327,284 for his efforts.  Stag Capital took the “winner take all”  Gold contest with 52 points collecting $470,000.

Here is an excerpt from my end of the year letter to all my clients….

Hi Folks,

Once again we have come to the end of another wild wonderful season of the SuperContest.  Thank you all for playing.  I hope that you have enjoyed the contest as much as I have this season.

One of the best parts of this business is all the wonderful people that I get to meet.  It was great meeting each of you and interacting with you throughout the year. You are a great group of people.   I have truly appreciated the kind words that many of you have fowarded along with your picks this week.  If anyone is passing thru and wants to grab a beer down at the Westgate, just give me a call.

Now on to what you all have been waiting for…. I have attached the final standings for the contest. You all did great.  Congratulations everyone!  While we only had one team place in the money this season, we did have several near misses. In particular, I would like to congratulate Winning05 for making the money this year.  Nice work fellas!  I also want to give special acknowledgement to the near misses for great picking this season and coming so close to placing in the money.
